How Handy Me works

Handy Me is launching first in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Project planning is available now; marketplace features are coming soon.

    Describe the project properly

    Available now: pick a category, answer questions specific to that work, add photos and a plain-language description, then choose a budget range and timing.

    Your street address stays private. Contractors see your ZIP code and general area only until you decide to connect.

  2. 02

    Qualified contractors find you

    Coming soon: Handy Me will show your project only to contractors who do that kind of work, serve your area and take projects your size.

    During the marketplace rollout, you will be able to invite a specific contractor or open the project to matched pros.

    Compare up to three quotes

    Coming soon: each quote will include the contractor's profile, pricing, experience, past work and any reviews earned through Handy Me. At most three contractors will quote at once.

    Planned features include messaging, photo sharing and requests for on-site, video or phone estimates.

    Hire and leave a real review

    Coming soon: choose a contractor, confirm the accepted quote and start date, then review work hired and completed through Handy Me.

    Planned features include saving contractors and inviting them back for future projects.
