Draft — pre-launch
Terms of Use
Last updated September 24, 2026
These draft terms describe how Handy Me is intended to work during its pre-launch period in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
What Handy Me is
Handy Me is a tool that helps homeowners plan projects and, as features roll out, connect with independent local contractors. Handy Me is not a contractor, does not perform work, and is not a party to any agreement between a homeowner and a contractor.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your login secure.
- Only describe your relationship to a property truthfully (for example, owner or authorized representative).
- Don't post unlawful, misleading or abusive content.
Contractors
- Contractors set their own prices and decide which work to accept.
- Contractors are responsible for holding any licenses or insurance their work requires.
- A badge appears only after Handy Me has reviewed that specific item. Badges and verified reviews cannot be purchased.
Planning ranges and payments
Price Guide ranges are planning estimates, not quotes or guaranteed prices. Handy Me does not process card payments; any money moves directly between homeowner and contractor.
No guarantees
Handy Me does not guarantee any contractor's work, availability, pricing or results, and does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Features marked "coming soon" are planned and may change.
Changes and questions
These draft terms will be revised before the full launch. Questions can be sent through the Support page.
